Inspirational Promises About God

About God's Love

When we were unable to help ourselves, at the moment of our need, Christ died for us, although we were living against God. . .God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
— Romans 5:6, 8

About God's Mercy

But God's mercy is great, and he loved us very much. Though we were spiritually dead because of the things we did against God, he gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God's grace.
— Ephesians 2:4-5

About God's Faithfulness

So know that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God. He will keep his agreement of love for a thousand lifetimes for people who love him and obey his commands.
— Deuteronomy 7:9

About God's Forgiveness

If we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins, because we can trust God to do what is right. He will cleanse us from all the wrongs we have done.
— 1 John 1:9

About God's Comfort

God is the Father who is full of mercy and all comfort. He comforts us every time we have trouble, so when others have trouble, we can comfort them with the same comfort God gives us. We share in the many sufferings of Christ. In the same way, much comfort comes to us through Christ.
— 2 Corinthians 1:3-5

About God's Blessings

The same Lord is the Lord of all and gives many blessings to all who trust in him, as the Scripture says, "Anyone who calls on the Lord will be saved."
— Romans 10:12-13

About God's Guidance

People make plans in their minds,
But only the Lord can make them come true.
Depend on the Lord in whatever you do,
And your plans will succeed.
— Proverbs 16:1, 3

About God's Grace

Our high priest is able to understand our weaknesses. When he lived on earth, he was tempted in every way that we are, but he did not sin. Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God's throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.
— Hebrews 4:15-16

About God's Power

When the Lord All-Powerful makes a plan, no one can stop it.
When the Lord raises his hand to punish people, no one can stop it.
— Isaiah 14:27
