Missions

Missions are at the heart of our church ministry.  Embracing the mission call of Jesus in Matthew 28 head on, we reach out to our community and world with many different projects.  Some of these are listed below.

CARITAS

CARITAS stands for “Congregations Around Richmond Involved To Assure Shelter!”  It is a community-based organization enabling member congregations to provide shelter, meals, and hospitality to homeless people in the Richmond metropolitan area.  First Baptist hosts CARITAS twice per year and is a great opportunity to serve on mission in our own community.

PARTNERSHIP MISSIONS

There are mission trips throughout the year that provide “hands-on” mission work from Ashland to the “lattermost part of the world”.
