Like to Learn?Learning at FBCA starts in one of our small groups. It may be a Sunday School group, a support group like Grief Share, a Bible study group, or a subject-study group like Alpha or Love Dare. We have many small groups - for men, women, youth, couples, and seniors. No matter which one you choose, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and share your opinion in a safe, open environment. You can participate or just listen. Here's the chance to learn the answers to questions that you have been thinking about for years, such as Is there convincing evidence that God exists? or Why does God allow evil? In one of our small groups, you will come to a better understanding of who you are and why you are here. So come and discover!Love Music? If you love music, then you will love the many musical groups at FBCA. We have many choirs for children and adults of all ages. Our sanctuary choir sings every Sunday. In addition we have several handbel groups, including one just for seniors. You don't have to read music to join either a choir or a handbel group. We'll teach you. If you play an instrument, consider joining our orchestra. Or, what new group can you help start - an ensemble or a band? There is always room for some new "instrument of praise". It provides the opportunity for children to play and learn in a Christian environment. Social skills, respect for others, and good manners are an integral part of our curriculum. We also offer after-school care for children ages 5 through 12. And, we offer all this at prices below those of secular programs. Back to the list.Want a Great Kids' Program? FBCA nurtures children from cradle to teen years. Children ages 4 through 2nd grade have their own church service, while their younger siblings are cared for in our nursery. If your child likes to sing there is a children's choir and a pre-school choir. And, when you leave your children in our care, you have the comfort of knowing they are protected by our thorough security process. Our Children's Program features a Sunday School class for every age (3 through 12) where Christian values are taught through bible stories, crafts, and games. Our mid-week children's groups like Royal Ambassadors (RAs) for boys, Girls in Action (GAs), Mission Friends for pre-school age, and our Vacation Bible School continue this important education. Kids also enjoy many fun activities like Wet 'n Wild Day at the park and a Virginia Beach sand castle competition. Day trips to great places like the National Aquarium in Baltimore and camping trips to state parks like Kiptopeke round out the program. Your child will enjoy these exciting activities and make new friends for life. Back to the list.
Want Support for Your Teen? In today's divisive world, teenagers need extra support during the transition years from youth to adult. The youth at FBCA benefit from many programs, such as activity-based Bible study, mission trips, and community service, which prepare them to make difficult choices - today and in the future. These activities give them hands-on experience with "the world", and bring them face to face with important issues such as poverty, aging, homelessness, and addiction. Bible studies and retreats build a strong Christian foundation and allow difficult questions, to be asked and dealt with in a safe environment. Teenagers in this program have friends with similar values that support them, and are therefore less susceptible to negative peer pressure. And, there is no shortage of recreation and fun that builds healthy bodies and teaches cooperation with, and acceptance of, others. Back to the list.

Take a trip with friends to Lancaster, PA to see the Sight and Sound Theatre or go to D.C. to see the Christmas lights at the White House. Check out our social calendar and come.
