Our Beliefs

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He is the foundation of our lives and the standard by which we live today and claim the promise of eternal life. He is to be the center of everything we do.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Through its pages we find guidance, comfort and the mighty works of God. We believe the scriptures teach us how to live, serve and disciple. Scripture reveals God’s plan for salvation through Jesus Christ.

We believe that baptism and the Lord’s Supper are celebrations of God’s grace. Baptism celebrates one’s new life in Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a celebration of the sacrifice of Jesus for all the world on the Cross.

We believe in the church as the Body of Christ on earth. It is a fellowship of people who seek to make Christ known, loved, trusted and obeyed through the living of our faith in our community and beyond. As the Body of Christ we work together, care for each other and unconditionally share the love of God. Each person in the Body is unique and gifted and is of ultimate worth to God.

We believe that worship is the most important work of the church. It is in worship that we praise the living God and proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord.
