CCDC Staff

Linda Ficklin - CCDC Director
Linda Ficklin has been the director First Baptist's childcare center since 1996. Prior to coming to FBC, Linda taught public school in both Richmond and Stafford County as well as owned a nursery school in Lancaster, Virginia. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Averett College.

Linda lives in Ashland with her husband and has two grown children.

Danielle Hudak - Teacher for 4's
Danielle moved to Ashland with her husband and two daughters in the fall of 2008. Prior to joining the staff at First Baptist CCDC in 2009, she taught in Virginia Beach city schools for 11 years. She has a Master's degree in Elementary/Middle School Education from Old Dominion University.

Andrea Holden - Teacher for 2's
Andrea graduated with a Bachelor's of Art Degree in Communication Studies from James Madison University. Raised in a developing Asian country as a child of a missionary family, Andrea moved back to Ashland in 1998. She is also a mother to 2 young boys.

Crystal Hopper - Teacher for 3's
Crystal Hopper brings six years of childcare experience to the CCDC center. She is native of Salem, VA and has move to Ashland, VA in May 2007. Crystal has worked with children as a nanny as well as at the YMCA.

Crystal resides in Ashland with her husband and two daughters.

Jennifer Kahler - Teacher for Art and Transition Between 2's and 3's
Jennifer Kahler has joined the CCDC staff in the fall of 2008. A native of Pennsylvania, she is a two-time graduate of Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art.
Jennifer resides in Hanover County with her husband and three children.

Sam Redd - Teacher for Music, After School Children and 2's
Sam has recently graduated with a BA degree from the College of Charleston in English. He brings various musical talents to the childcare center including guitar, drums and bass. Sam currently resides in Beaverdam with his family.
